can assist eligible individuals who use their cars for work-related
activities with both the cost of repairs and fees including
licenses, emissions, registration, and insurance.
When
there is no public transportation available or accessible,
an eligible client can get up to $700 from the program for
car repairs or fees. (Requests will only be accepted
through case managers referrals at regional One-Stop Centers.)
The
following is a checklist that must be completed by JobLinks
before a request is accepted.
1.
Client Request Form completed with funding source verified
2. Verification client does not have access to existing
transportation service
3. Vendor estimate not exceeding $700.00
4.
Receipt of paid invoice of outstanding balance or contract
agreement with vendor
5.
Vendor’s appraisal of car and market value estimate
6.
Copy of client’s registration, license and insurance
card
7.
Approval of request for payment through car based project
8.
Verification of employment or enrollment in skills training
classes
